20131027 Sick Day #2 and Kaitlyn's Birthday Party

A woke up feeling hungry and energetic.  However, that soon wore off and she became irritable again and did not have much of an appetite.  She ate very little and did not want to take the medication that she had been so willing to take the night before.

We did our best to get ready on time for Kaitlyn's birthday party.  I had already spent time wrapping her present last night so A only had to sign the card.  On the way to Wing and Bonnie's place, the kids fell asleep.  So I got to go in and eat while the kids and CF were sleeping in the car.  There weren't many people at the party this time and it was kind of cozy.  A woke up first and I took her in.  But she was groggy after waking up and she was still irritable from being sick before.  She would not eat nor play, but was planted in front of the TV again watching Snow White.  After I finished eating and after they had cut the cake and I ate some, I switched places with CF and sat in the car with R still sleeping.  When he woke up we went in and I got him some food right away.  He scarfed down cut up hot dogs and I gave him some cut up sandwich bits.  After eating, he was playing with a bunch of toys.  He seemed to be still afraid of remote controlled toys.  A was finally feeling a little better by this time and ate a little bit of food including some jello.  We left around 3pm and we decided that it was still early and went to look for salmon along a trail that Lynn and Alex had suggested before.  We found the location they had mentioned at the end of Clarke and Victoria, but there was nothing interesting and the kids were getting irritable by this time.  When we went back to the car after a short walk along the slough, A wanted to go to grandma's house.

We went back to grandma's house where A was still irritable (even watching more TV) and R needed another nap and wanted to be nursed.  While CF was nursing R and A was getting a bath with grandma, I took a nap myself.  We had dinner and then CF decided that A should sleep over at grandma's house since she would probably still be sick on Monday.  It's funny, at grandma's house, both kids want to have grandma's attention, then next would be CF, then grandpa.  I would be last on the list... sigh...
